Winnie has just moved house and has a new scrap room so she didn't need any excuse to get in there and put together something for us today but she doesn't have her own blog so you can stay right here for this!
"Happy Birthday Rebekah, from all the way DownUnder! I hope you (and all your followers) are having a fabulous time with your blog hop and enjoying all the wonderful tutorials and challenges.
I’m really honoured to have been asked to participate in this celebratory occasion and unfortunately I don’t have a blog for you all to hop to (hence why I’m appearing on Rebekah’s blog!). However, if enough people ask, I might think about sharing my creations! LOL
Today I have a simple challenge for you. If you’re like me and spend FOREVER trying to coordinate papers to photographs and vice versa, then this challenge should help you get a layout done in no time!
I’d like you to use black and/or white as your base and add one, and only ONE, accent colour. Here’s an example layout I’ve done for you to give you some inspiration:
The photograph (of my gorgeous little Pepper-girl) inspired me to use white as my base and red as my accent colour. I’ve been meaning to get this layout out of my head for simply ages, so thanks Rebekah for the push! I used a Pagemaps Sketch, Core’dinations cardstock with Cuttlebug D’vine Swirls embossing folder and Fiskars scallop edge punch, Kaisercraft Flutterby paper, Green Tara flowers, Prima crystal swirl (cut in half), Kaisercraft bling, Birch ribbon and a Queen & Co heart brad. The journalling spot and title I cut on my CraftRobo. I outlined the photo and the title with a red Stardust pen.
Here are a couple of detail shots:
If you don’t want to use white as your base, here’s an older layout of mine that uses
a black base with orange as the accent colour:
So off you go and let’s see what you can come up with!"

both of those are really striking!! Love the idea of just using one accent colour - will definitely be giving this a go!

Super LOs Winnie - love both of them even though they look so different due to the colours used.
