Wow!!

Has it really been that long since I posted?? Well then I have plenty to tell you :)

Firstly, I've been working on my 'Here, there and Everywhere' LOs. I did this one as my SLYMI challenge last week, which was to scrap in the morning. It's a scraplift of Shimelle's LO here, which I knew I was going to lift the minute I saw and on this topic too. I then found the perfect paper and just needed the oppurtunity;I've been playing with jigsaws mostly since then. I made one for Leigh and Julie, and one for Lorraine (to say thank you for the little felt house she gave me for the LO above). Obviously sticking to my latest theme ;)

I've also done two more of my jigsaws for the jiggy swap but haven't taken photos of them yet.

On Sunday Leigh, Paddy, Lisa and I went to Ally Pally. I left my ticket at home-doh! But once we got in we had a good time and had lots of bags to show for it
Leigh and I had decided in advance that we didn't really need anymore patterened paper and I did manage to avoid buying too much of that. Someone should have told me that I didn't really need anymore embellishments either though!!! When it was all spread out it looked rather a lot, even though the bag I came away with was the only bag I'd arrived with :) Ooops! Totally guilt free though as it was birthday money.
I've also been busy with CJ's People Imagery online course. Last week we had to make a compilation of photos of silly faces. Harry duly obliged and was a complete star. My final 9 were these;
Connor copied Harry and let me take a few photos. None of them were very good apart from this one which I love. Shame about the donut icing around his face ;)

This week we were supposed to try shooting men and women and groups. I couldn't get my bottom in gear and only took photos today so I didn't manage to get a group together. I took some shots I'm pleased with though and I'm creating a slide show as I type. Here are a few of my favourites though;

And lastly, I found out today that one of my LOs is on the Sassafras lass blog :) I am so chuffed. The one they had on there was the one I've just submitted to SI for publication so they took it down and replaced it with another one of mine. How cool is that? I'm very flattered.
All that remains for me to say is 'Happy St. George's Day'.

Another CJ entry

Our 'All My Own Photos' CJ is due for posting on Monday so I dedicated tonight to getting the entry done ready for posting. This time around I had Debbie's 'Butlins 2008' and I chose the photos of a trip to a tea shop. I hope she likes it :)

I was really pleased to pick up an email this morning saying that one of my LOs is being used in the Challenge article in issue 55. I love the buzz you get when you see your work published! I don't think that it will ever wear off.

A Good Friday!

Last night I went to Leigh's house. We were both pretty productive and I came home with 6 LOs, albeit without titles :)

The first one I did was this weeks challenge from the Scrappin' Gigglers. The challenge is;

1) Scrap a photo that made you giggle/laugh because we are The Scrappin’ Gigglers =10 points
2) Use 5 of an embelli for the 5 Olympic Rings because the games were restarted in April 1896 = 5 points
3) something sparkly and/or magical for Paul Daniels’ birthday and our Tanfastic who is always sparkly =10 points
4) a title or quote from Oscar Wilde who was arrested on this day in 1895 = 5 points

I love this photo! It makes me smile everything that I see it :) Connor is copying his older cousin and thinks that he's really funny. Bless him.

I had so many beach photos that I did another LO with some of the nicest ones of Connor and my cousins children.And this one of all of them using the American Crafts Craft fair range again. I used a Becky Fleck sketch for 'All the fun of the farm'. I had great fun using Leigh's cricut to cut out the little animals.

3 SLYMI catch up pieces

Well, in the end I plumped for a CJ so here is my first offering of the day... Chessington World of Adventures. This is 'Our Own Pictures' and is Tuppence's 'Snapshot of 2008'.

A few days on

Connor and I have been to Devon for a few days and have had a wonderful time. Before I went I went to 'The Scrap Cafe' crop and did my 'February' and 'March' double layouts for the 12 months/12 projects mission,
caught up a bit on SLYMI by doing 'Funny Face'
and won the sketch challenge with 'G is for Gnome'.
Not a bad day's work ;)

Weekly Challenge: Barbecue @ mine

This week's challenge was set by Charlis Angels. I thought they were really clever with it and liked that there were only 5 points per element;

A - Any new stash - 5 points
N - Notes or journalling - 5 points
G - Glitter or Glitz - 5 points
E - Embellishments - 5 points
L - Lace - 5 points
S - Sewing of any kind - 5 points

The LO shows photos from an end of term BBQ last year. We had just a good time and there was masses and masses of food. I don't really know how to display a lot of photos, so this was a bit of a tough one for me, but I think that it works and I'm pleased with it.
