This photo was my MRI of my back from last month. It shows the cause of the pain I've had for the last few months circled in red. I cut a strip in a rectangle and inserted doilies paper strips in the gaps I'd created. They were a bit delicate so I used a square of the wrapping from the paper to strengthen the LO. I placed some more doilie strips around the edges and misted over it to show the pattern underneath. Finally I layered various hybrids, sprouts and other elements.

Paws for Thought

For this LO I used a program to create a film strip of Connor and Bailey. You can see my step by step on the ScrapaGoGo blog on Tuesday. Connor is wearing a lovely green shirt which matches perfectly with the green frilled ribbon from the March kit. I made some flowers to tie in with the cardstock from the doilies paper and Jillibean patterned paper.

Sprouts- not just for Christmas!

The journalling sprouts in the March ScrapaGoGo kit are so vibrant and match the papers brilliantly but I decided they could go it alone on this LO. I love how you can create different looks by layering the sprouts up. For the photo I used the exclusive ScrapaGoGo March stamp. I had to print the photo very small to fit in to the space. This LO captures my memories of the DT training weekend on one of the journalling sprouts and used some hybrid letters for the title. I love the colours in the March 'What a picture' kit.

Spring in the Air

My next LO using the ScrapaGoGo March kit is 'Spring in the Air'. I created a step by step for this LO and that will be on the ScrapaGoGo blog really soon. I love the paper from Jillibean and cut it in to strips before adding tiny photos to it. The colours in the March kit are gorgeously spring appropriate :)

March Manufacturers

One of the things that I love about the ScrapaGoGo kit is that there is a mix of manufacturers each month, but all beautifully colour coordinated. It was my mission in this LO to use paper from each of the manufaturers in the March kit and I decided to use the brick wall in the photo for my inspiration. I cut strips of each paper and then cut them in to smaller pieces, rounded the corner and inked the edges before sticking some down flat and sticking some down with foam squares to give them depth. I used a hybrid strip and some of the floss to break the bricks up. The corrugated title is inked slightly and I hand cut the 'all' out of the patterened paper. The LO still didn't look finished so I added a journalling sprout and some buttons to the left hand side to give it a little something Supplies:

Picture Perfect

Connor has recently started to enjoy crafting. I asked him to paint a canvas for his Daddy's Birthday in March and now he wants to paint canvases every time They really impress me and I put them on his wall. The two pictures here are his rocket which I'm flying and the painting he did for his Dad which is a pirate's ship. We've also got a yellow submarine being driven by a green frog but that's not shown here. I thought that the hybrids were perfect for these little photos because they all related to pictures so I overloaded the page with them and printed some little photos to complement the hybrid elements. I love this busy layered layout.

A GoGo Weekend

This weekend we had a ScrapaGoGo Design Team Training weekend in Suffolk. The team stayed at a house with a heated indoor pool and as many of us are dieting at the moment we took the opportunity to swim in it between scrapping and training and planning :)

We arrived on Friday to be met by our fabulous March Kits. There was lots of oohing and aahing over them. I'd met Sam and Sheena previously but it was great to meet the rest of the team and to finally meet Nic B after all these years of being on design teams with her. Nic and I had a midnight swim, which was novel! I dug straight in to my kit and found it so easy to scrap with despite not having photos with me that I could use. I quickly had three LOs done without the photos in place.
On Saturday we had a whole day's agenda full of training, cups of tea, planning for the rest of the year (including getting ideas together for October Getaway classes), healthy food, more tea, and looking at the designs for the March Getaway classes which members will be booking really soon. The evening was spent scrapping and being introduced to 'Take Me Out' with lots of laughter. Nic B found that working with the March kit can be hazardous.
Sunday we played some more with our kits and sadly I had to leave just after lunch to be home in time for Connor coming home but the pages I saw before I left were gorgeous. It never ceases to amaze me how different each page is despite the same images being used. They'll be uploaded to the Gallery over the next week so do have a look at them. I know you'll not be able to resist the March kit once you see them!

March Sneek Peeks

I'm beginning to realise why this year is going so quickly :) No sooner have I played with the fabulous February kit from ScrapaGoGo, but the sneek peeks come out and I'm eager to get my hands on the next wonderful instalment! Being on the DT means that I don't have to wait all that long of course but even I was hard pushed to decide what to get and not get this month because I really do like the look of everything. ScrapaGoGo have had a Grab it section since back in the day but recently have been adding all sorts of goodies to it again just like the vintage GoGo days. There are 33 items available on 1st March so there are some people who'll be upsetting their bank managers I reckon.
The main kit is the wonderfully classy 'What a Picture' collection.
The exclusively designed stamp this month is fab once again and there of course the hybrids that will be free to download as always.

Happy Valentine's Day

This month's ScrapaGoGo kit contains some fab kraft paper from American Crafts (called 'Love Falling') and I decided to use those for my Valentine's cards this year. The idea is simple and I just drew around a heart stencil a few times, inked the edges, folded them in half and stuck them in place. The words are stamped using the ScrapaGoGo Loyalty stamp that members can start to claim this month. It's fab and will have so many uses.

Birthday Photo Tray

I bought a couple of photo trays in the January sales and decided that my Cousin's birthday and the February kit 'Happiness Is' from ScrapaGoGo were the perfect combination for having a go at decorating one.

The hybrids are gorgeous feminine but with the mix of great colours any photos could be combined with them, and in a household with two pretty girls running around there are bound to be photos that my Cousin would like to see as she eats her breakfast from a tray

The papers and hybrids are complemented by some misting. Don't forget that you can download the hybrids FREE each month from the ScrapaGoGo website too.

Month in Review

One of the projects we have going on at ScrapaGoGo this year is 'A Month in Review'. I finally sat down to have a go at January this week. One of my favourite things about January is that it's the perfect time to pick up the odd bargain or two in the January sales so I decided to use some of the prettiest tags from my shopping trips to write my journalling on, include a cinema ticket and short review and stick some photos from the month on.
I've used my January kit for this one, but didn't have enough of the alphas left to add a title so instead I used the outline of the stickers that I'd removed to draw the title on the top of the page before cutting it out. I've used two of the Studio Calico wood veneer stars from the kit and cut a third star from the packaging. In the opposite corner I've used two of the Pink Paislee Old School Metal Badges from the January kit and a UTEE butterfly. Those of you who use photobox for photo printing will know that they send a test page with tiny prints on. I thought I'd use them this month :)

More February kit

I couldn't resist using Nicola's wonderful cloud stamp again on this LO. Clouds make me think of the sky and the summer so here's another summery LO. This time it's Connor jumping in to his paddling pool. I love this photo because it captures the moment so beautifully. Connor is happiest when he's not wearing much, is outside and preferably in water.
For this LO I used the ScrapaGoGo Create kit, hybrid elements and Nicola's cloud stamp. I also printed out a sun and rainbow from google images and used that on my LO.

More Fancy Free...

The alpha that came with the 'Fancy Free' kit this month was Cosmo Cricket Ready Steady Chip Red Robin. It's fun and quirky and I used it for this LO about how pick Bailey's paws were when we first got him. That's because he'd not been allowed outside and they soon became darker and muddier when he was with us! Such a cutie at the time though. I used papers from the main kit, the flowers from the G2P for 'Pink Paws'.

Supplies:
ScrapaGoGo February Create (My Minds Eye Lost and Found Market Street Lovely Shabby Chic, Cosmo Cricket Togetherness Reunion)
ScrapaGoGo G2P (American Crafts Love Tenderness, May Arts Ribbon Red Roses)
Maya Road Mist

I know I've only just started blogging my February kit LOs, but wanted to write a really short post to share the ScrapaGoGo exclusive stamp for March because it's really cool and interesting:

Looking forward to getting creative with this one :) What do you think?

A Fancy Free February

I love the 'Fancy Free' add on kit from ScrapaGoGo this month. The greens in the kit went really well with my photo of Connor this month so I used them to create an oversized frame for my photo, along with the canvas borders from Little Yellow Bicycle. The green flowers are hand cut from the October Afternoon Modern Home Maker Canning Jar and I used the red cardstock to hand cut the letters, leaves and swirls and tie in with the red from the canvas borders. I used some chip banners from the main kit and covered them with the October Afternoon paper before attaching them to the top of the LO. Recently I've noticed how quickly Connor changes and because I see him everyday I don't notice it. It's only when I look back at photos that I realise what a baby he still was even though I thought he was a real boy. So this year I'm trying to capture a photo of him each month and this was my January photo shoot.
