The Studio Challenge: Scrap off the page!

Today Amanda says 'Make something other than a scrapbook page with your scrapping supplies. It can be anything you like, so use your imagination!'.
I love 'add your own photo' snowglobes and I came across these extra large bad boys (sorry- I work with teenagers!)on ebay. I used some left over bits of October Afternoon papers with a photo of Connor and I on one side and a photo of Bailey and Connor on the other. I added stickers and rub ons to the photo of Bailey and Connor and a felt heart, and I added rubs ons and flowers to the photo of Connor and I. There is foam in between the two photos so I added another scrap of photo to the outer edge to finish it all off and hide the foam. (Thanks for the idea and the stash Leigh!)
I'm constantly losing paperwork. It comes through the door and then gets put in a carrier bag when I scoop up things to take upstairs at the end of the day, and then they stay there until I get around to sorting them out (i.e. never!). It's resulted in missed deadlines recently though so I decided that I needed a better way of keeping my post safe. My house is pretty open plan downstairs so I decorated this wooden magazine holder to match the colours of my lounge and it sits on the shelf nicely and looks pretty :)

I am still marking- yawn!! Hopefully I'll have finished this weekend because I have so much crafting that I want to do and the creative drawer in my brain is about to explode :)

But anyway, I thought I'd just pop in to make sure that you'd noticed that there's a DT call showdown going on over at The Studio. There were over thirty entrants and they've been whittled down to 8. They are working on a final challenge which will be unveiled on Friday and then you get to vote for your favourite. Keep an eye on that one!!

The Studio Challenge: My Little Astrophysicist

This week's challenge at The Studio is 'Keeping it simple - make a layout using only cardstock, patterned paper and alphabet stickers!'. The LO I created is a lift from the Sassafrass blog. I used some great space paper with lots of bits that I cut out and lifted with foam squares. I distressed the photos with a file and hey preston- 'My little astrophysicist'

World Cup Challenge Number 5

Our last World Cup Challenge on 'The Studio' is a sketch based on the World Cup 2010 logo. There are bonus points if you can use the colours from the logo and include the swirls too :)
Well, I couldn't use all the colours from the logo but I did manage some vine's that sort of mimic the logo, attached with lots of foam squares :)

The Studio Challenge: Spoilt Rotten

This weekend over at 'The Studio' Amanda says 'Let's get in the mood for summer! Scrap a layout using orange and yellow as your main colour scheme!'. Tony knows that my favourite colour flowers are orange and this beautiful bunch of flowers that I received in March had yellow AND orange flowers in so this photo is perfect for this challenge. It's a lift and I don't know who did the original I'm afraid but I loved the dripping acrylic paint so I used that, with lots of embellishments and some glimmer mist. I also pulled the florists page out of the yellow pages to add another paper layer to my LO.
