I'm always happy to help someone in any way I can, but if scrapping is involved then it's even better :) <br />
<br />
This is what I did for her and she was delighted:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCccNck-9mJZrvVFifWVnuzSzE3Dy5sjU57wIVUCWsBqNw2nciRk4AYdvZNlSxOhwfCZ0uNxSHOKQ1E512RKO2N_PtY66TWzkjguSjzgvNJpXJ3wsvjN8nx969R5g9BVE_tloQZc-gJ5ms/s1600/20160901_083356.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCccNck-9mJZrvVFifWVnuzSzE3Dy5sjU57wIVUCWsBqNw2nciRk4AYdvZNlSxOhwfCZ0uNxSHOKQ1E512RKO2N_PtY66TWzkjguSjzgvNJpXJ3wsvjN8nx969R5g9BVE_tloQZc-gJ5ms/s320/20160901_083356.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
These books are from<a href="http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/" target="_blank"> Hobbycraft</a> and they are on special offer at the moment. I bought <a href="http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/8-x8-gold-polka-dot-scrapbook/610107-1002" target="_blank">this one</a> to do my 'All about us' book for our fostering endeavours, the creation of which is on my 'To do' list for October half term. It was a bargain at just £2.00.<br />
<br />
What's the best bargain that you found recently?<br />

We've been giving sneak peeks to everyone and here is the first of mine:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipjzFPDvodfw5uzMoabxHO6AOV8WpwTwtHGRtfD3jEdhtA8G7S_JgXKOXDgviEapZv4hu_LFmlca41hMZK10sbHE-o-j8aCh07OxAOj39cPPdnAG9EzHN0y4RJfAzGUMkpqz2FoKRqLQGH/s1600/Damsel+in+distress.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipjzFPDvodfw5uzMoabxHO6AOV8WpwTwtHGRtfD3jEdhtA8G7S_JgXKOXDgviEapZv4hu_LFmlca41hMZK10sbHE-o-j8aCh07OxAOj39cPPdnAG9EzHN0y4RJfAzGUMkpqz2FoKRqLQGH/s320/Damsel+in+distress.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I think that this class is one of my favourites that I've ever designed for GoGo. It's a two layout class; one technique, two ways. I use the same products to make a wintery class and a summery class. I'm excited to show it to the delegates and see their take on it. It's amazing how different a class can look with just a change of photo. <br />
<br />
GoGo are now taking bookings for March and October 2017, oh and they've announced a Manchester event for November 2017 as well. It's all GoGo!! <br />
<br />

Scrapping and blogging daily and enjoying my reclaimed me time. But then tragedy struck and my step-dad died. It's a story that more and more families know only too well but this is the closest to home that cancer has struck. Ray was diagnosed in July and just 9 weeks later he died in a <a href="http://www.pth.org.uk/" target="_blank">Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice</a>. I spent some time with my mum and Ray at the hospice before he died and on the day that he died and the staff could not do enough for us. It's not a job that I envy but they did it with great care and humility. <br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Ray has been my step-dad for 26 years. He married my mum after we'd been on our own, the three of us, for seven years. You can imagine that things didn't always go smoothly when joining a family with teenage and pre-teen daughters in it. But I think that Ray had a good life. He has three children of his own and five grandchildren including my son. He loved spending time with Connor and he did that quite a lot, especially before Connor started school and when there was snow! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My final <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1074181915950949/" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie challenge</a> from the other weekend was Niki's sketch challenge. This had a big shape on it and I decided to go with a decorated circle. </div>
<div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This photo is of Ray and Connor collecting plums from the fruit tree in the garden. As you can see, this is serious business. I love the composition of this photo though and it's lovely to be able to scrap the memory of Ray doing things with Connor. </div>
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love this textured woodgrain paper and bought a whole pack of it a while ago from Hey Little Magpie. This time I used a white ink pad to lift the grain before sewing a circle on to the page and decorating it with all manner of embellishments. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At the end of the weekend <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie</a> had a prize draw and I won a prize! I wasted no time in placing my order, including a whole lot of Illustrated Faith products, which is something I'm planning on getting in to having recently bought a journaling bible. That was very exciting :)</div>

It was called <i>Inspiration Inbound</i> and GoGo Lisa and I helped delegates to create a whole lot of lovely layouts to complete a whole album over two weekends.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">On the Friday night we traveled down to set up the hall, ably assisted by GoGo Janice. We loved the crates that we'd found to display the goodies for each delegate.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2pBlWzViHaIot5eQkLmBdKe_48yfJA3pAx0VTfUBT1oOgRCEEOfW-WrhAdmR-1jMPucd109BVats96JYWSO1Tidon5uHOvwMrHnrXrT-6N9GSTjtm4riadOreynlnxce69KqbmZTFd3SC/s1600/Wanborough+2016+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2pBlWzViHaIot5eQkLmBdKe_48yfJA3pAx0VTfUBT1oOgRCEEOfW-WrhAdmR-1jMPucd109BVats96JYWSO1Tidon5uHOvwMrHnrXrT-6N9GSTjtm4riadOreynlnxce69KqbmZTFd3SC/s320/Wanborough+2016+3.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">And then when Saturday came around GoGo Lisa and I put on our 'uniform' of a grey apron and scarfs and got to work.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">For this weekend we used project life cards and cream cardstock for each layout and combined them with different gelato techniques and handwriting hints to create layouts that complemented each other but were each very different. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">These are the layouts that I taught.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The following weekend we put up a load of sketches and our examples of the sketches on the Facebook group so that people could add even more pages to their albums. It was great to see the delegates take on each sketch.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">And finally we finished off with some challenges. My first was to do a top heavy layout with all the detail at the top of the page.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This was followed quickly with a nod to Shakespeare in his anniversary year, in that delegates had to use some Shakespeare on their layout. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Then finally, it was a layout challenge that relied on boxes of interest.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">So as you can see, the same supplies used for each layout produced a number of different layouts by virtue of how the pieces were assembled. </span></div>

Twice a year there is a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/192458954140987/" target="_blank">48 hour crop</a> in the village hall and it's a lovely bunch of ladies that attend. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For my class today I chose some really gorgeous papers from the Somewhere in Time <a href="https://www.bobunny.com/index.html" target="_blank">Bo Bunny</a> collection. People liked them so much that the first kits sold out within 2 hours so I added a second kit in a different colour way but using the same techniques and one technique, two ways was born.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is another set of photos that I still need to scrap. We have so many! I chose a photo of Connor and I in the Great Hall and another of Connor meeting the Quidditch players for these two layouts. The focus was on making flowers in two ways; origami and rolled. They were mixed amongst flowers bought from the growing range of flowers at <a href="http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/" target="_blank">Hobby Craft</a> to create a pretty floral layout.</span><br />

Interestingly when I showed my mum the layout she said that she'd never seen this photo before, so I guess it was from my dad's collection. I love yellow and this paper is just gorgeous. My background is cardstock but I used a stencil and some white embossing paste mixed with some yellow paint to add some texture to the layout before I added the photo, stickers and flowers. I ended up buying some enamel dots from <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=enamel+dots" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie</a> because everyone was using them and they look fab! </span></span></div>

It's another occasion when I amassed a stack of photos and I was looking back over my blog to see how many of them I had scrapped back then.<br />
<br />
There are a few like the photo on my I am not a Robot layout <a href="http://thehappyscrapperuk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/i-am-not-robot.html" target="_blank">here</a>, Favourite things layout <a href="http://thehappyscrapperuk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/11/cybercrop-saturday-update.html" target="_blank">here</a>, Pumpkin Patch layout<a href="http://thehappyscrapperuk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/pumpkin-mash-anyone.html" target="_blank"> here</a>, Conker Face layout <a href="http://thehappyscrapperuk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/kit-creation-conker-face.html" target="_blank">here</a> and Hoffest layout <a href="http://thehappyscrapperuk.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/hoffest-kit-fun.html" target="_blank">here</a>. But there must be a whole load of photos from this weekend that I still have hovering in my photo box waiting to be scrapped. So I will be digging them out and including them in this weekend's to do box.<br />

Julie showed a really gorgeous layout to inspire us to make a layout using a grid. It made me wish that I had the embellishments she had and that I had a crocheted flamingo! But I don't so I went with a photo of the boy taken at our studio shoot a little while ago.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Shine</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMMRakZeZY8VgGqxzHca-eJuZF34PDeJKtYD3C01rH8UVWUPEy1DAJy8f4Ee6I_sQcO-blOAEiXjLAiATaPaQJR_hzSNHNyEMYKWaFB_cgmW1aLwP7JHeR3Z6gs38pPfxV9bnGEQchyphenhyphen6IT/s1600/Shine.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMMRakZeZY8VgGqxzHca-eJuZF34PDeJKtYD3C01rH8UVWUPEy1DAJy8f4Ee6I_sQcO-blOAEiXjLAiATaPaQJR_hzSNHNyEMYKWaFB_cgmW1aLwP7JHeR3Z6gs38pPfxV9bnGEQchyphenhyphen6IT/s320/Shine.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
I really love this photo of the boy and as you can see from the journaling the case was taken as a prop for the photo but Connor climbed in it and the photographer got this shot. In trying to find some paper with a blue theme I found this piece with blue dots but the different colours gave more scope for adding other embellishments without the whole layout having to be blue. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigLWOTyGbdiKd1TDmuQVb_TGPrk2umh8p64ih64dWSaWocwDN1J8Ei3f2DiF9foJeqs5YrpBFOfUAWyFktWjd_t2EdJVpYUHD4njMgqGMF_AHYZuMVVF8Vi3D8LLoQxKNRbvrvGouNSz2P/s1600/sneak+shine.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigLWOTyGbdiKd1TDmuQVb_TGPrk2umh8p64ih64dWSaWocwDN1J8Ei3f2DiF9foJeqs5YrpBFOfUAWyFktWjd_t2EdJVpYUHD4njMgqGMF_AHYZuMVVF8Vi3D8LLoQxKNRbvrvGouNSz2P/s320/sneak+shine.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The layout turned out well, but I wish I hadn't put the 'happy' in the left hand corner. It's glossy accented on though so there's no budging it now. Have you ever regretted putting something on a layout?<br />
<br />

I don't think I really got in to the Olympics until London 2012, although I do remember the likes of Daley Thompson and Linford Christie from the 90s. We were lucky enough to go to some Olympics in 2012, but one of my favourite parts of the Olympics wasn't the sport itself. It was the Olympic trails around London looking for Wenlock and Manderville. I have dozens of photos of the boy with the Olympic mascots and am planning on making an 11x8" album eventually. I have the album bought already but that's not saying much since I've had it for four years now.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This photo is one of my favourites from those trials and it fitted this bingo challenge from Agnieszka during the Hey Little Magpie challenge weekend. I chose a diagonal row from the card which gave me washi tape, wood veneer and sticker.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Olympic Trail</b></div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I really enjoyed getting a little messy but leaving lots of space on this layout and then layering up with lots of embellishments. Perhaps I'll recreate this one in 11x8" for the album?! </div>

I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend and being a little bit crafty :)<br />
<br />
Today I'm sharing the challenge set by Rachel Millington during the Hey Little Magpie Challenge Weekend. The challenge was simply to use paint and stitching. I love paint and I love stitching so this one was a pretty good challenge for me. I don't get to use a lot of pink so I decided that since the photo is black and white, I would treat myself. This photo was taken at my sister's wedding last October. It's my cousin's daughter and my sister's page boy doing some barn dancing and it's one of my favourite from the wedding album. They only met that day but they danced so well together. <br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42J14d4QmRmxgyfAOl4dq9LoqTzuNbYi94sDL97vt0Lsg4-fKnC3aUSFOrbxU-8H3EdC5dUKa-BeDGLVkFLTXhkJwzCwUHaCnKuK6eC86i7BQKj4Rr66NhnQHejRbRDi8MvM_TV0fSaZF/s1600/Tiny+dancers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42J14d4QmRmxgyfAOl4dq9LoqTzuNbYi94sDL97vt0Lsg4-fKnC3aUSFOrbxU-8H3EdC5dUKa-BeDGLVkFLTXhkJwzCwUHaCnKuK6eC86i7BQKj4Rr66NhnQHejRbRDi8MvM_TV0fSaZF/s320/Tiny+dancers.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To create this layout I painted using big strokes and a lot of paint both at the top and the bottom of the cardstock. I also used a brighter pink to create some splatters of paint on top of the paler pink solid blocks of paint. Once that had dried I used a sewing machine to stitch the circles. I always draw a circle in pencil as a guide but I often do more than one circle so that if it's not absolutely perfect, it doesn't show. I decided to go with the musical link with some musical note patterned paper and the gorgeous pink flowers on a blue background, linked up with some Prima blooms, October Afternoon Stickers and washi tape from my stash. I bought some enamel dots from <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=enamel+dots" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie</a> this week and they've gone on pretty much every layout, and this one is no exception. The layout is finished off with a title in Thickers and a little bit of journaling just to capture the date and venue. </div>

I've managed to do all but two of the Hey Little Magpie Challenge Weekend challenges. The other two aren't really my bag so I'm done! <br />
<br />
This was Claire Fader's challenge, which was to create a layout based on this advert:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfZ2RPnpuu1PCDtok3gorke4gIKbuoqoS2-J1v3mSJ9QbM3D9p6HML6u4Cs9wfyqjHDorSVFr-ZDrs96vCpNeFz4D_UJ6h-blMT6hs-ZaCaqCU2xTBdzBUQ-eqIdKLB7qEapHtzvnTL6Zc/s1600/Advert.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfZ2RPnpuu1PCDtok3gorke4gIKbuoqoS2-J1v3mSJ9QbM3D9p6HML6u4Cs9wfyqjHDorSVFr-ZDrs96vCpNeFz4D_UJ6h-blMT6hs-ZaCaqCU2xTBdzBUQ-eqIdKLB7qEapHtzvnTL6Zc/s320/Advert.jpg" width="237" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a really interesting idea, isn't it? For my layout I decided to go with strips of paper rather than a solid block. I used some Prima and Glitz papers for this one along with Simple Stories stickers from their Say Cheese range since I was scrapping a photo of the boy and Donald Duck. We went to Disneyland Paris last October and I thought that he would be too old to want to meet the characters but no! He wanted to meet them all, which was lovely. And it meant that I got loads of photos which can be a challenge now that he's older.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Totally Quackers</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifq6aexdQrMCO3VJUfM8noq5HnsX1i8nHqyOa5TxERhzVH2etQcnDf7xsO_IOM2AptJ4D2un3LCeZozg2s7nKYpuuTLjuDsDgxdAtDso5OKLPkxc2rIKsfrGDL6pw4mTZEqX_Uh70Np9sl/s1600/Totally+quackers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifq6aexdQrMCO3VJUfM8noq5HnsX1i8nHqyOa5TxERhzVH2etQcnDf7xsO_IOM2AptJ4D2un3LCeZozg2s7nKYpuuTLjuDsDgxdAtDso5OKLPkxc2rIKsfrGDL6pw4mTZEqX_Uh70Np9sl/s320/Totally+quackers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
The balloons replace the bags hanging off the swish, or in this case the title, but I had to put them the other way around. The layout is finished off with selection of October Afternoon and Simple Stories stickers. <br />
<br />
I really enjoyed this one and am really interested to see all the different layouts that are being created from the same point of inspiration :) If you're playing along, please feel free to link your blog in the comments so that we can see how yours turned out.<br />
<br />
Have a great Saturday,<br />

Today I'm looking back at the class that I taught there two years ago. I can't quite believe it was that long ago! <br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The background of this layout was created using a piece of acetate, some distress inks and some water. Firstly I put two complementary inks on the acetate, one hot and one cold. Then I spritzed it with water and placed the acetate central to the page in a square. You can see how the ink splodged out on the page. I used the acetate to then create some panels by stamping on to them with Staz on. I love to cut out flowers from patterned papers and these are gorgeous colours. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The photo is of the boy crabbing in Old Felixstowe. It's one of my favourite photos of the summer. It makes me want to go back and do some more crabbing :) </div>

This mood board is courtesy of Natalia on the Hey Little Magpie Challenge Weekend last weekend. It's gorgeous isn't it?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS3i3IKJseVWZexd7fBXv18uGHOrI2xLT77FN5sjww5KgMVVaC3HSZXH6BllVXQOC14yLLfkgNb4kLjv5BViFZgX10XlmKeDZQ3d8ldUvazoXDv2gTfvwjSpCLxLDSkN4xvFvWL2EKU7S-/s1600/Mood+board.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS3i3IKJseVWZexd7fBXv18uGHOrI2xLT77FN5sjww5KgMVVaC3HSZXH6BllVXQOC14yLLfkgNb4kLjv5BViFZgX10XlmKeDZQ3d8ldUvazoXDv2gTfvwjSpCLxLDSkN4xvFvWL2EKU7S-/s320/Mood+board.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I absolutely love birds and these colours are beautiful. <br />
<br />
I found some fabulous paper in my stash from Webster's Pages. It's one of those that I wish I'd bought two pieces of because I couldn't decide which side to go for but in the end I decided it had to be the yellow side with a navy bird in the bottom left hand corner. I also love the distressed look of the paper. <br />
<br />
My photo is layered up on top of some journalling cards from Fancy Pants, along with a doily, some tickets and some old slide mounts. The colours of the mood board reminded me of some gorgeous flowers that I have in my stash from Prima and the birds had me reaching for my Studio Calico wood veneer birdies.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I tore the bottom off the layout and used a border punch to create a frilly layer beneath the yellow patterned paper. The layout needed some contrast with some darker elements so I added some black sequins and some 7 gypsies rub ons. And here is the final layout, 'Gorgeous Boy', which is what my mum calls my son. This photo is taken in the bath. The boy has a look that I know very well. It is his tired face. But he always loved his bath and didn't like to get out until he wanted to get out. Luckily he was small enough for me to just lift out when I saw this look. Unlike now!</div>

Today I'm continuing with my reveal of my <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie</a> layouts from the Challenge Weekend. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This challenge was from Nancy who said, <b>"<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;">So the challenge is, if you wish to accept it, is to make a non-Christmas themed page using Christmas stash."</span></b></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I found these little photos that were previously in a photo frame around a mirror. The photos on the left hand side of the layout are from my honeymoon and from the day after my boy was born depicting our first family lunch. Both of those were lovely moments in my marriage. The photo on the right is of my boy when we first took him home, wrapped up in his crib. And whilst the marriage didn't last, my role as a mum will go on forever so I called this layout...</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><b>Short lived, long lasting.</b></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">My first challenge was to find some Christmas stash. It's not something that I often buy and I was really surprised to find this cute range, Bundled Up, from Crate Paper. Not only a Christmas range but also very pink for me! Perhaps I couldn't resist those cute little snow angels ;) </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; line-height: 19.32px;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The papers are teamed with the following embellishments:</span></span><br />
<br />

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I really enjoyed this layout and using small photos. It meant that there was more space on the page to load up with embellishments. The reindeer sort of works with the boy who is, after all, is 'deer' to me :) </span></div>

One of my new (academic) year's resolutions was to sort out my work life balance and find time for the things that I enjoy. Obviously one of the things that I enjoy is scrapbooking and it's such a good way of relaxing too. <br />
<br />
What a good time to start scrapbooking again! Thank you <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/" target="_blank">Hey Little Magpie</a> for putting on a challenge weekend. I'll be catching up on the challenges over the next couple of weeks and telling the stories behind the layout on my blog. <br />
<br />
I didn't do the challenges in order for some reason, so Challenge 2 came from Jen Naulls and was to make a page or project using black, white and one other colour. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPFPOn_z62kNK8ufeNn5CxR_Hipstysf_RUUTscfq3giAG1kEjXw_wALMD_Vx0XBKJ8G82kJSWsE6SN-WxjSZcgYg3d1b-X1vEl5xQEa_0vOW0xnVQyrdxbtG-wGSWikBu0CiNxyuHgjep/s1600/Le+Tour+layout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPFPOn_z62kNK8ufeNn5CxR_Hipstysf_RUUTscfq3giAG1kEjXw_wALMD_Vx0XBKJ8G82kJSWsE6SN-WxjSZcgYg3d1b-X1vEl5xQEa_0vOW0xnVQyrdxbtG-wGSWikBu0CiNxyuHgjep/s320/Le+Tour+layout.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Le Tour</h3>
<div>
<br /></div>
I have so many photos that I want to scrap and the pile certainly doesn't get smaller so I deliberately went for a couple of photos from 1994. The photos are taken from the time that the <a href="http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10522411.The_day_the_Tour_de_France_came_to_Hampshire/" target="_blank">Tour de France came to Hampshire</a>. As a venture scout I was asked to marshal the event (along with my fellow venture scouts, Natasha and Vicki). It was a long day of standing and the crowds got larger and larger until the racers descended. You could hear the whir of wheels from a distance but blink and it was all over! Those cyclists serious flew by in a blur of colour and metal.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6t4A3z8PazAX5VD5RS-8c_pYfEtjvtMvaatQzb7Z-wMM6KZ6c5KsTcMchFzECuPaA_AI5-h3XGI1uUORM0ub_s8O3PIFDDpSfZR7BsX6nej90-NJUQXK_d1YGBNgI_9cKrywFylzjuMDT/s1600/Le+Tour+sneak.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6t4A3z8PazAX5VD5RS-8c_pYfEtjvtMvaatQzb7Z-wMM6KZ6c5KsTcMchFzECuPaA_AI5-h3XGI1uUORM0ub_s8O3PIFDDpSfZR7BsX6nej90-NJUQXK_d1YGBNgI_9cKrywFylzjuMDT/s320/Le+Tour+sneak.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I love yellow so I instantly picked these photos out as some that I could pick out the colour from to use in this challenge. I used a <a href="http://www.craftie-charlie.co.uk/tim-holtz-arrows-layering-stencil-mask-ths025.html" target="_blank">Tim Holtz arrows mask</a> and <a href="http://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/new-c2158/new-products-c848/stampers-anonymous-studio-490-wendy-vecchi-embossing-paste-white-p26424" target="_blank">Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste</a> to create the background. If you followed me of old then you will know how much I love stickers and there are plenty on this layout, all from <a href="http://www.papermaze.co.uk/category/october-afternoon-6507" target="_blank">October Afternoon</a>, some of which are still available at the lovely Papermaze. The brads and buttons are from an old Crate Paper collection. I think that brads have gone out a bit recently but I really like them for adding a bit of depth to a layout and I really like <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/my-mind-s-eye-hello-gorgeous-stitched-brads.html" target="_blank">these</a> from Hey Little Magpie that might just fall in to my basket! The word fun is from the <a href="http://www.heylittlemagpie.com/freckled-fawn-wood-chips-words.html" target="_blank">Freckled Fawn Words collection</a> and the little bikes from Studio Calico, all in wood veneer.<br />

The reason being is that I couldn't sleep last night! I was too excited about this weekend :) In about three hours I'll be arriving at Theobald's Park for the 8th GoGo Getaway and I can't wait. I can't wait to see my fellow team mates, the delegates and to unveil the classes that they'll be taking over the course of the weekend. Over the weekend delegates will take seven classes. Here are some sneaks of all those classes;<br /><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibETlHey9lPFro7DoaEgQmfazcuPdb7k34Z3SuVLGSHEykuf1XZpL8y_Ioqon5ygBHCoz7_YS27ORwmbHrFnHIJ0xzmPkTjRGfZaeYLc1s4NDY5CSWWpTUUNjkJ64uOIuZABZqUF_WuBDT/s1600/Getaway+sneeks.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725580221294248562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibETlHey9lPFro7DoaEgQmfazcuPdb7k34Z3SuVLGSHEykuf1XZpL8y_Ioqon5ygBHCoz7_YS27ORwmbHrFnHIJ0xzmPkTjRGfZaeYLc1s4NDY5CSWWpTUUNjkJ64uOIuZABZqUF_WuBDT/s400/Getaway+sneeks.png" /></a>I'm teaching three classes this time around, 'How Tweet! How can you resist', 'Life's a Beach (with a capital 'B')' and 'Through and Through'. </p><p>If it's anything like October's Getaway there will be a lot of laughter, a lot of creativity and not a lot of sleep. If you're joining us this weekend I shall see us there, and if you're not then why not book for 2013? It's one experience everyone should have :)<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy5-3pFbZnBCFumBwt2or4taRB6Qysd0myIi4pfcpsmfY5Hv2R0DmAMriHTEN07IlY9wReTSp8SoUoBYaN41aiRjH73Hc_TOZx2uhJ87OSsCK60QP-_RmqrwqB2JR7EFB6sh0xH5VeFzMZ/s1600/Signature+112x64.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 112px; height: 64px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5725580235153978850" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy5-3pFbZnBCFumBwt2or4taRB6Qysd0myIi4pfcpsmfY5Hv2R0DmAMriHTEN07IlY9wReTSp8SoUoBYaN41aiRjH73Hc_TOZx2uhJ87OSsCK60QP-_RmqrwqB2JR7EFB6sh0xH5VeFzMZ/s400/Signature+112x64.jpg" /></a></p>Rebekahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390240254421768578noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6775050571640251888.post-73477331590453015122012-03-14T07:00:00.000+00:002012-03-25T13:52:16.931+01:00Scrap365<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOu7X6nBOncMCEyFohoEIdyczAWwz-9pznro5ya69XVpDSyCLHE4eNKQitm0KyuOzIf3jmEJ-79LobyZqOaPHI0u0TjMK15LnXDqYKnyr3J-cESZJXaOYYytFHa4WKwzPOgwOQZWRLaVb_/s1600/scrap-365-magazine-april-2012-issue-5-7249-p.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 282px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOu7X6nBOncMCEyFohoEIdyczAWwz-9pznro5ya69XVpDSyCLHE4eNKQitm0KyuOzIf3jmEJ-79LobyZqOaPHI0u0TjMK15LnXDqYKnyr3J-cESZJXaOYYytFHa4WKwzPOgwOQZWRLaVb_/s400/scrap-365-magazine-april-2012-issue-5-7249-p.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723816607050098002" /></a><br />I am very excited today! The minute I saw this month's stamp I thought of treasure hunting. And then I saw the bee and honeycomb shapes and that lead me to bear hunt. Connor and I had a lovely afternoon walking at the nature reserve opposite the house. He loved that I let him walk in all the mud and walk through the water. And at the end he had honey sandwiches with his teddy bear :)<br /><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 250px; height: 250px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723807710266235698" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGowAHGnkodZoUiaAG4u_yTTMZZAIQjGrk55AqDsHhJ0U-Uv5-h7Es-LtUP89IAyyZLvSIEwbhn-we6WqQCrWzwdXXymyfraN-IGKShWBl75MeGcpEwAxC-53yKJLAjf4CITt3q2sNaczX/s400/DSC_0034+%25282%2529.JPG" /><p>I really love the alpha. It has really nice stitching on and I decided to draw stitching between each of the hexagons on the layout to tie it all together. I cut some circles from my pizza box and tied the twine around it in a bow, and hand cut some leaves too.<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 400px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723807707358291730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLvG-xGqeDyE_YIH517diewS2YXCFVFRhdAuebVDlaYwBkskFyd1OSQ6jarYYBERP7LdXOOjDclUEsPZMFpP3KXGuejKEE25MlqnGWnKPcZ5xfO5lGGFZPmk2w5rzasGKH5Uoy_y3d5mlY/s400/DSC_0033+%25282%2529.JPG" /></p><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSqioWYJcJGtA7fy2d3I1TEvpXmetMZU1oQhBrKyPbUdpvLG0Iqw-FgX8G6HvIZKJnmgysY_jTe68Dnz_1mkAelDtMMN2Cmv8z5fbmKRV_s0uVY5bXCjcVbgUNb_qw3WDbfYxFWAirgIZn/s1600/Signature+112x64.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 112px; height: 64px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSqioWYJcJGtA7fy2d3I1TEvpXmetMZU1oQhBrKyPbUdpvLG0Iqw-FgX8G6HvIZKJnmgysY_jTe68Dnz_1mkAelDtMMN2Cmv8z5fbmKRV_s0uVY5bXCjcVbgUNb_qw3WDbfYxFWAirgIZn/s400/Signature+112x64.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5723811893524570834" /></a>Rebekahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390240254421768578noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6775050571640251888.post-45870661099740288552012-01-21T12:21:00.004+00:002012-01-21T12:43:50.266+00:00Essentially GoGoOver half way through January already?? How does it happen? Well, I've been busy putting together projects for <a href="http://scrap365.blogspot.com/">Scrap365</a>. They won't appear for a while though and I'll share some sneek peeks nearer the time. Did you get the latest edition this week? I just love <a href="http://scrappyfairies.blogspot.com/">Lisa's</a> little book for her sister.<br /><br /><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGlZiFCBJyv2UzMc8tn8cPsxoEvY_a338SZr7dVFHBtR2WCvyk_ODp5C3WCCTJGWtyN75mjQUqIZuqpRRo18RSJqxZ6pkLD_ynvuFb7QR6Hggg0Op111-IxES5ox7KCgJtcm-KNt-PdSjr/s1600/Essentially-GoGo.png"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 153px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5700060498789805698" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGlZiFCBJyv2UzMc8tn8cPsxoEvY_a338SZr7dVFHBtR2WCvyk_ODp5C3WCCTJGWtyN75mjQUqIZuqpRRo18RSJqxZ6pkLD_ynvuFb7QR6Hggg0Op111-IxES5ox7KCgJtcm-KNt-PdSjr/s400/Essentially-GoGo.png" /></a><br />And did you see the news from ScrapaGoGo? They seem to get faster every year! It seems like only yesterday that I was sharing my favourite layouts of 2010.<br /><br />2010 was the year that I got even braver with paint and ink, thanks largely to my <a href="http://scrap365.blogspot.com/">Scrap365</a> team mate <a href="http://scrappyfairies.blogspot.com/">Lisa Saunders </a>:) The great thing about this layout is that it inspired other people to get a bit messy with paint and ink too. My GoGo pal Sheena told me that <a href="http://sheenasscrapsandscribbles.blogspot.com/2011/10/getting-messy.html">this one </a>was inspired by my spring LO, and doesn't it look fab too.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692223447909275730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs2qoojDSoBwpKSd6S4ZNc1kvXaH0t36IZpazVg6j5ihCuix1fYMD6COUeYBOWZc7dYX9qQnM5iohjSEwspz64cOsK7r7Dut9QBIbxJ88CDBjPPPTYt5hmmWJ2dPWhVf2yf3cRF1Y7vt7s/s400/DSC_0190+%25282%2529.JPG" />This one is one of my favourites because I love the Rocket Age range, and the colours and because it was one of my favourites of the Scrapfactor competition.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrKORKgh1BKVm0ZTKoewisHjXdg0gIYVyvjXE2cE0nQGOxRHcF_iPdAgfITpPgdfO7qxs7fVcsQy5IccRPhiwR4IV5lVtmeVa_VxGfGZdxGIFL_KO4Rwu5y3OtiW7HB2Gtve1nFNLo2qJ0/s1600/DSC_1026+%25282%2529.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692224754785640562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrKORKgh1BKVm0ZTKoewisHjXdg0gIYVyvjXE2cE0nQGOxRHcF_iPdAgfITpPgdfO7qxs7fVcsQy5IccRPhiwR4IV5lVtmeVa_VxGfGZdxGIFL_KO4Rwu5y3OtiW7HB2Gtve1nFNLo2qJ0/s400/DSC_1026+%25282%2529.JPG" /></a> I think that this is the only double layout that I created this year! When I started out all I did was double layouts and now I just don't do them. I should though, especially when I'm doing my wedding album. I'm pleased with how this one came out though and Crate Paper Toy Box was another of my favourite ranges of 2011.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRUWa_A-U2nBjqlaZDljFB0kc5M-H-dbhFfPQzrHsdtb-4Hx3a_BmC04m5wZpx09iEnmEVdoRRIXee118QuEZMcXJ9fsCFxP5s3cel-5qQBJjLt3LhpyCYZJjdEc_abHNFmTy9xOekeVZW/s1600/Picture+001a.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 198px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692224744310345106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRUWa_A-U2nBjqlaZDljFB0kc5M-H-dbhFfPQzrHsdtb-4Hx3a_BmC04m5wZpx09iEnmEVdoRRIXee118QuEZMcXJ9fsCFxP5s3cel-5qQBJjLt3LhpyCYZJjdEc_abHNFmTy9xOekeVZW/s400/Picture+001a.jpg" /></a>Speaking of wedding albums, this is my favourite of my wedding layouts so far. I have got a little carried away with making paper flowers this year but I do think that they enhance a layout and they are well worth the time it takes to make them. This is one of the layouts that won me 'Scrapbooker of the Year' runner up in The Scrapbook Magazine too so it's hard not to have a soft spot for it.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLlhDBAKPLaOPRsVCG7961NDphvF38Lpvh7fZ-XDXXzpovP4yL35WZOk5trY6b_Muyao4YwypKBU4koqkLM15LL5DG5AzK28KQbn5bOSiBMX1bUySXsUnLx7Y0YO4ajox-QYLFMTkknODv/s1600/Here+comes+the+bride.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 399px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692224742680010370" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLlhDBAKPLaOPRsVCG7961NDphvF38Lpvh7fZ-XDXXzpovP4yL35WZOk5trY6b_Muyao4YwypKBU4koqkLM15LL5DG5AzK28KQbn5bOSiBMX1bUySXsUnLx7Y0YO4ajox-QYLFMTkknODv/s400/Here+comes+the+bride.jpg" /></a> Another Scrapfactor layout here, this time with no photo. I've done layouts without photos before but this is the first one that I have thought worked. I love that Connor's first writing is now commemorated. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYeOtDWojRL9a3mFaGoJmHpfAuYiGXatPUmPcJ5fJAaslcBh0kpGTaHMQpSNeAKzlapqr4ww_UcxCjRl4f1ey6-spxBPJn9nlHLBCqg_7H0w4R3Lrc40VeoiIhYwbF6AyVbwEvQ1gCRreO/s1600/Scrap+without+a+photo.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 399px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692223470414711282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYeOtDWojRL9a3mFaGoJmHpfAuYiGXatPUmPcJ5fJAaslcBh0kpGTaHMQpSNeAKzlapqr4ww_UcxCjRl4f1ey6-spxBPJn9nlHLBCqg_7H0w4R3Lrc40VeoiIhYwbF6AyVbwEvQ1gCRreO/s400/Scrap+without+a+photo.jpg" /></a>When it comes to my favourite <a href="http://scrapagogo.co.uk/index.php?p=55">GoGo Getaway </a>class of the year it's a hard choice. I've so enjoyed teaching at the retreats and day events and meeting our members. I think that this layout just squeezes past some of the others though. Again, it's partially because I love the paper range, but I also like the composition and the shiny elements.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizn87iymZSBhXicLko74AB5UtT0JgiZcsXpEcUkkKvgw-TM4G_MEody0eczQ8Zf1niSb57qPFkis8j2xOUGsgdym9tNhkNWr9cBsx8rtZa3kDOzpLGVLkLgXlYheZxxQd-jQCH9avRNExc/s1600/_MG_7391.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 398px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692223454805675842" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizn87iymZSBhXicLko74AB5UtT0JgiZcsXpEcUkkKvgw-TM4G_MEody0eczQ8Zf1niSb57qPFkis8j2xOUGsgdym9tNhkNWr9cBsx8rtZa3kDOzpLGVLkLgXlYheZxxQd-jQCH9avRNExc/s400/_MG_7391.JPG" /></a>This one is a favourite for two reasons. Firstly, we had so much fun hunting Easter Eggs in the Park and secondly, the kit from <a href="http://scrapagogo.co.uk/">ScrapaGoGo </a>was fab and worked well with this composition.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIKmve5RkMf0KruJ284WCq-4OtKqM3118epKW-elhDGDdFUAq__5GnKrUDxnF4kcGHSqL6xaroRJMJRN3Q3vUzCadAYPDPtdHOqoRt4d6E5WpfLB-cC-tCIO4w4FAAL_y1Wxf-ONQFSxBC/s1600/DSC_0657.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 399px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692223448617387410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIKmve5RkMf0KruJ284WCq-4OtKqM3118epKW-elhDGDdFUAq__5GnKrUDxnF4kcGHSqL6xaroRJMJRN3Q3vUzCadAYPDPtdHOqoRt4d6E5WpfLB-cC-tCIO4w4FAAL_y1Wxf-ONQFSxBC/s400/DSC_0657.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Today I have set aside for Scrap365 and am keen to get started on my first project for them :) I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve and that 2012 is full of lots of wonderful memories to capture on film, and later on a page xRebekahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390240254421768578noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6775050571640251888.post-64206436095246156502011-12-30T07:00:00.002+00:002011-12-30T07:00:02.653+00:00Catching up on 2011 Part 5Layouts towards the end of the year have been few and far apart as I did some maternity cover for my colleague and was working more than usual. But I did enjoy my GoGo kits each month.<br /><br />This layout commemorates Connor's first day at school. We all had a great time (although we were all tired at the end of each day) and this layout shows Tony and Connor meeting Buzz Lightyear. I've shared some of them already, but here are some more from the fabulous August kit. <br /><br />This first layout is about our many trips to Legoland. Dad bought Connor and myself a Legoland pass for Christmas/Birthday last year and we've loved being able to visit the park as often as we've wanted. The photos should be even more vaied this year, since Dad got us a Merlin pass!!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBqKnQrags87D1psXJpa-vjx8Zozjmcm7HAlq9kwJ9kwGEaxBc4h9E8nqqgrxw6xrjL26Aq5ulQdFwMYMGg7AfD4AoYdDxMzXoa8S0PVDMlYEEBG3Dcf9CPR9uBlRYzhSgr40gV0TGSAu3/s1600/Legoland+love.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689613201826531442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBqKnQrags87D1psXJpa-vjx8Zozjmcm7HAlq9kwJ9kwGEaxBc4h9E8nqqgrxw6xrjL26Aq5ulQdFwMYMGg7AfD4AoYdDxMzXoa8S0PVDMlYEEBG3Dcf9CPR9uBlRYzhSgr40gV0TGSAu3/s400/Legoland+love.jpg" /></a><br /><br />And here is a layout from my Hen do. We had a Murder Mystery Dinner with a cast of celebrities and I was Cruella De Vile. I couldn't find a costume that was exactly what I wanted, so I made one and I collected lots and lots of dogs to drag along behind me too :)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCfLMQgh_AE7KzolAw5r5KmP7yubtWCTQK4Xt0JyN5CbWa4d2gtg4Yxw06sSSwtqCGIMCbY_e_4dmj55G2RT6oP75czcuU9VsMf4W5UiVJ_FuRRNB_CWqtDUTCg_soqHF0uV-KmFGc_nZ0/s1600/Cruella+dvile.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; I created two new layouts for this competition and entered one of my <a href="http://www.scrapagogo.co.uk/">ScrapaGoGo</a> layouts.<br /><br />The first layout is 'Here comes the Bride'. I made lots of handmade flowers for this one and used a black and white photo from the wedding (obviously).<br /><br /><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 399px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689593763638163330" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWeG8rMYxaeYRE8jfZSuX9yHySiO_92_Nsmpm7IVNctQ-FxH8NYR12m4oGt4bp7BsILBJvQX7ovR68V44kcyhtZesX9M1F2DlNn04j-RUE9L7ZGiYTdSAipCFQ24XUV06dUKdpxWMQiwKv/s400/Here+comes+the+bride.jpg" /></p><br /><p>And the paper embellishment continued with a ruffled circle for my second layout 'pretty kitty'. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn_V-F-DizWuv62lmaZueKd29q0YxrP2n8lwe1TmbR5E0NxflGoGvqTmdbhXd9SEGlrFaE3bMw4XJEd5O7daZ6zKVMyJ-qXRKBJfOhOoxqQup-IxtKKUc-ztEd8sDND9SNmt43Y-5MUgaU/s1600/Pretty+kitty.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689593768420753650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn_V-F-DizWuv62lmaZueKd29q0YxrP2n8lwe1TmbR5E0NxflGoGvqTmdbhXd9SEGlrFaE3bMw4XJEd5O7daZ6zKVMyJ-qXRKBJfOhOoxqQup-IxtKKUc-ztEd8sDND9SNmt43Y-5MUgaU/s400/Pretty+kitty.jpg" /></a> I won a whole load of wonderful stash and it was like Christmas when it arrived.</p>Rebekahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390240254421768578noreply@blogger.com0
