The Craft Garden: 'So Cute' part 2

So once I got started with 'So Cute' I did actually think that it was cute :) I love all the little creatures and couldn't stop cutting the little critters out and sticking them here there any everywhere. I loved the floer selection that Kerry included too. And what a bargain to get a paper and flower combo pack with 10 flowers in it and 12 6x6 papers.

LSNED 2nd September

A pretty basic one today using Shimelle's downloadable on to safmat.

Learn Something New Everyday: Day 2

Since last Sunday I've had a trapped nerve in my back giving me pins and needles in my foot and pain in my leg. That follows two weeks of the worst pain I've ever encountered (and I've had a baby with no drugs). Tonight we went to see Jimmy Carr at The Hexagon in Reading at the start of his 'Laughter Therapy' tour. I was too busy laughing to think about the pain so my lesson learnt is that: Laughter really is the best medicine. Actually, scrapping does the same...

The Craft Garden: So Cute Part 1

Kerry from 'The Craft Garden' sent me a whole lot of lovely new Prima papers to play with and her little bundles of matching flowers- what a great idea!! (Look under new products for prima paper and flowers bundles for just £2.49!!).

Not all the paper was to my taste but I thought I'd have a play with it all anyway. First up was 'So cute'. It is not a range I would ever choose for myself but I have to say that I love the layouts I created using it.
The first is 'Two's company'. I used a prima sketch for this one that I saved ages ago. Love it! The background paper is a piece of scrap from my scrap drawer. I cute around the edge of the leaves on the lined paper and stuck two pieces together to great a rectangle the size I needed it to be. I used some paper to cover two chipboard hearts and I also hand cut leaves out of the paper with all the leaves on. These I tucked under the flowers I liberally applies around the photos strip. I cut a few of the cute creatures out and stuck them around too :)

LSNED Ist September

Here is my LO as promised. I used the ScrapaGoGo September kit for this one.

Learn something new everyday: Day 1

Many of you will know that September marks Shimelle's annual class 'Learn something new everyday' (from now on refered to as LSNED). Last year was the first time I played along but I'm all ready to have a go again this year. Because I like to scrap 12x12 last year I combined a week's worth of learning on each LO. This year I thought I'd try to do simple LOs but one for each day. I've been saving up LOs to lift all year :) There are some that won't take much time at all. So today's learning is that dog walking goes better with sunshine :) (LO to follow)

Vanilla Sugar Challenge September

Pinch, punch it's the first of the month and that means that it's challenge day on Vanilla Sugar. This month it's altered clocks and there are some lovely examples from my fellow DT members on the blog today. Pop along and have a look and then get altering :) The clocks ticking!
