All My Own Photos: Hideaway

My latest entry in an All my own photos CJ is into the 'Hideaway' CJ. I chose some lovely photos of a castle wall and part of the gardens and used Basic Grey 'Mellow' to coordinate with the colours.

Up for anything: Favourite Recipes

My favourite CJ so far that I've had made is my recipe book. I love it! So I always enjoy getting a recipe CJ in an open CJ. I really enjoyed making this 'Maple Salmon' page in this month's CJ. Yummy!!

Starter for Ten: Techniques

My entry into acidburnrosie's (aka Nina) CJ about techniques didn't take too long to think up. Anyone who knows me will know that I love layering on pages. I love depth and texture and lots and lots of embellishments. On the left hand side I included examples of what I use to get the effects I use and on the right hand side I made a page to demonstrate all the layering put together :)

Chinese Whispers Group 1 Round 5

This weekend's challenge on The Studio Amanda says 'I don't know about you, but I have so much old stash hanging around. Make a page that includes one of your oldest supplies next to one of your newest'.

I decided to combine it with my other Chinese Whipsers LO this month which was from Debbie- The Butty Shop. She did hers digi:
For mine I took some photos of Connor and a disappearing watermelon for a smile and made them black and white and brought the red of the watermelon out. I used some Sassafrass lass paper I ordered especially for the LO and some ribbon that was in my cardmaking stash before I even got to making scrapbook pages. I'm surprised it's still so bright to be honest :) I rotated the LO and moved the key elements about a bit for my lift. Mine is not as true to the original as I'd have liked but the papers I wanted to use just didn't work in a big piece under these photos so I just used the small strip and ignored the larger one.

Chinese Whispers Group 2 Round 5

The 15th seems to come around so quickly each month with two Chinese whispers LOs due and a CJ. This month I received 'Plymouth' from Debbie (although she'd not lifted it so it's actually MrsH's): I used all the elements but squeezed them all together to make it a bit more me :) During Shimelle's online crop she asked what things we hadn't scrapped that we thought we should and one of those things was my job. So I remedied that this week with this LO 'Work Me'.

All My Own Photos CJ

After a succesful circle journal last year we decided to keep the 'All My Own Photos' group together. The first CJ I received was from TL and there are some lovely photos of her boys to scrap. I chose one of Euan asleep and a second of Harley and Ashton;
Hope she likes it :)

The Studio Challenge Sunday

The challenge over at The Studio this weekend is to scrap what makes you laugh. Connor started to take control of his wardrobe in February. It started with some suspect colour matches (purple shirt and lime green shorts, with wellies in February?!), and then developed into matching colours with funny accessories (shorts and a winter hat in March ;) ) and then matching clothes with accessories that match too :) It makes me giggle to see the process each day!

Monopoly Cybercrop: Vine Street

The 8pm Challenge was 'Vine Street'. I didn't get around to it until after I'd done Angie's class so I chose a photo and papers that would compliment the LO I did for her class. The challenge was to include a vine of some sort. Leigh's Mum very kindly gave me some of her bluebell vine lace (from Capture the Magic) to complete this LO. Thanks Paddy!!
